Three days of learning, recognition, and dialogue

The detailed agenda will be published closer to the event date. ENCORE 2026 is designed around three dedicated days that bring the TaxCore community together to exchange knowledge, celebrate achievements, and explore new ideas.

  • Day 0 (25 October) – Arrival and Welcome: participant arrivals, a welcome dinner, and informal social activities designed to help attendees connect before the summit begins.

  • Day 1 (26 October) – Opening, Vision, and Recognition: the summit officially opens with participant registration, keynote sessions, strategic discussions, and client recognition, complemented by networking breaks and an evening dinner.

  • Day 2 (27 October) – Learning, Exchange, and Collaboration: a full day of case studies, implementation experiences, workshops, and peer exchange, with dedicated time for networking and continued collaboration.

  • Day 3 (28 October) – Future Perspectives and Closing: forward-looking discussions, public engagement strategies, and closing sessions, followed by a networking activity or organized excursion before participant departures.

Meet the first announced speakers of ENCORE 2026

Learn from leaders, innovators, and practitioners whose work is shaping the future of tax administration, public engagement, and digital compliance.

Professor Richard Thompson Ainsworth

Professor Ainsworth, who has taught in BU Law’s tax program since 2005, is a comparative tax law specialist. His teaching and scholarship interests are in comparative transfer pricing, comparative VAT, and comparative income tax. He brings extensive transfer pricing and VAT experience to the role of director. He has published over 100 articles on various tax topics, and is considered a national expert on sales suppression in both the retail sales tax and the value added tax. He writes extensively on missing trader intra-community fraud (MTIC).

John McAlister

John McAlister is a global authority on digital business transformation and a veteran of the Australian Taxation Office, where he spent 14 years. In 2019, he co-founded AssetAccountant alongside Colin McEown and Mark Dally to automate complex fixed asset depreciation and lease accounting. He currently balances his advisory work with an assignment as an International Monetary Fund (IMF) Revenue Administration Advisor in Fiji.

Jan De Loddere

Jan De Loddere is the Head of the Geregistreerd Kassasysteem (GKS) division at the Belgian Ministry of Finance. With expertise in commercial and financial sciences, Jan transitioned from industrial construction to tax auditing and financial investigation. At the National Investigation Centre, he became a leading expert on electronic sales suppression, collaborating with EU and OECD working groups. He played a crucial role in multilateral fiscal audits, particularly targeting VAT avoidance schemes.
